Watermelon Wonder

I had much time over the weekend to play around with clay as lao gong did his work.
This is one of my creations.
I'll post the rest up some time later.

clay

First you make the watermelon.
Take some red and divide it into 2 balls.
Roll each into a small triangle.
Curve the base slightly.

Mix some white with a wee bit of green.
Divide into 2.
Roll into short snake.
Flatten it a bit.
Place under triangle.

Take some green and divide into 2.
Roll into short snake.
Flatten it slightly.
Place under light green that is attached to red triangle.

take 4 small tiny pieces of black.
Roll into balls.
Pinch the top slightly.
Flatten.
Place on top of red triangle as seeds.

Now, prepare you ear studs.

Take some while and roll into ball.
Flatten it over the surface of the ear stud.

This is to ensure that the white is nicely shaped for the ear stud.
Place the watermelon on top of it.
When dried, softly pluck out the whole clay - watermelon and white base.
Apply some glue to stick them onto the ear stud.
Allow it to dry.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I do :P

(alternatively, if you have an earstud that has a small base, you can sink it into the watermelon and do away with the white clay base.)
